Sukhadi



Sukhadi is made from Ghee (clarified butter), wholewheat flour and jaggery. The wholewheat flour is roasted in ample amount of ghee till it turns aromatic and brownish. Grated jaggery, in equal amount of flour is added to the mixture after removing pan from the heat, and stirred to make a mixture that is transferred to a plate to set. After making level of the mixture, pieces are created.

Ingredients


  1. 1 bowl Wheat flour
  2. 3/4 bowl Ghee
  3. 3/4 bowl Jaggery(Gudh)






Recipe:

Step-1:

Finely chop the jaggery with a knife or keep it coarsely ground.


Step-2: 
Put ghee in a pan and keep it on the gas to heat. 
When the ghee is slightly hot, add flour to it.





Step-3:

Bake the dough on medium heat.



Step-4:

Cook the dough till it turns light pink. When the flour becomes light pink in color and smell starts coming from it, then turn off the gas and put jaggery in it.






Step-5:

 Mix the jaggery well with the flour. And spread that mixture in a plate.





Step-6:

Cut it into desired shape.
